Inter-cultural dialogue VS Our reality

Youth and Education ( Youth Policies )

After a comprehensive presentation by Mr. Khalid Louhichi ( The representative of Arab League ) on the reality of the Arab youth , challenges , obstacles and hope. followed by a provocative presentation by Haythem Kamel o the civil society organization , his presentation brought many challenging questions , are the civil society organization the same ? or shall we distinguish between the governmental and the non governmental , profit making or not. the two presentations brought so many essential topics to be discussed between the speakers and the audience.

The question of mobility was a major question , how can we facilitate the mobility of the youth within the Euro-Med region ?, but is it only the Arab youth who are facing these difficulties, hands are raised , many people wants to contribute to this discussion , racism , extremism , threat , Islam phopia, BUT then what about the difficulties the Arab youth face travelling within the Arab countries ?

what about the contradiction ? the contradiction between our amazing attractive work , it looks wonderful to see 900 people from 43 countries at least all together in one place, BUT what about our reality ? is it the same. Haythem has raised the question of visa ? why Arab youth should be dehumanize in the Europeans ?

Many Questions are waiting for the answers ? how can we convince young people with the amazing shining attractive Euro-Med cooperation and inter-cultural dialogue and the reality they live contradict that ?? how can we facilitate the mobility of young people within the Euro-Med region ? how can we change the stereotypical image about the Arabs ? how can we provide young people with equal opportunities in the time that Arab youth have to face all kinds of violations of their rights and dignity as humans when applying to visa to reach the other side of the Mediterranean sea ?

you raise some serious questions there Majd. and I think the first step is to raise these questions. and now - let's look for the solutions. which I'm sure we can find if we work together.
