SETTLERS “PRICE TAG” POLICY

SETTLERS “PRICE TAG” POLICY

Violent acts by Israeli settlers against Palestinians became a daily routine. Torching fields, vehicles and houses, uprooting olive trees, vandalizing kindergartens, throwing stones, inflicting beatings, killing livestock and poisoning wells – these are part of a long list of almost routine violent acts of settlers against Palestinians, dubbed as "price tag." Settlers opposed to government limited attempts to implement the partial freeze of settlement expansion, have adopted what they call the “price tag” policy, according to which settlers extract a price for government limited attempt by attacking Palestinians and their property.
According to international law there's no distinction between outposts and settlements as both are illegal. In Israeli law only outposts are considered to be illegal.
